"Surya Kunj" means "Garden of the Sun". The ambiance is that of a urban home (haveli) of a Rajput Zamindar (Land Lord). Our village, Bagawas, is situated on National Highway#8,about 98Kms from Jodhpur. Our Home is open to guests and share with them the warmth as we would our own. We grow our own vegetables -grown organically to ensure a healthy and safe diet .Though situated on the main road, serenity is maintained by a two rows of trees and a well maintained garden. All food preparations are personally supervised by the Ladies of the House. We have kept in mind the needs of our guests. We have blended yesterday's elegance with today's comforts. There seven bedrooms available for guests with a comfortably spacious lounge cum dining room. For health reasons we have avoided use of wall to wall carpets and use only traditional Durries, furniture which have been crafted by our handicraft and furniture manufacturing unit. We also continue with the traditional "Dhoop" in the evenings.

This adds to a healthy fragrance, keeps the evil eye at bay and good spirits in a great mood !! We have tried to blend the "Haveli" character and esthetics of a bygone era with the technology and convenience of the modern age.
