Kota fort was the part of kingdom of the Bundi, which is known for its exciting history of velour and courtesy. The fort is having a large and historical History. The best known thing in the fort is in Durbar Hall which has paintings and mirror work, and it also has doors of ebony and ivory. The fort was built in 1264, but was expanded over the years, reaching its present size in 1625 when the city palace was completed. Kota is the world’s famous for their high qualities of its wall paintings. There are many painting but most of them are hunting scenes. The maharajas abandoned the fort to build themselves modern palaces. Umed Bhavan and Brijraj Bhawan are expansive and ungainly structures. Brijraj Bhavan overlooks the Chambal River in the city. Both palaces double as hotels. Kota is 245 km from Jaipur, and lies on the Delhi-Mumbai railway’s link.
