Name : - Junagarh Fort

Junagrah fort is in the Bikaner city of the Rajasthan. The fort was originally called Chintamani and it was renamed Junagarh. This is also one of forts that were built on a hilltop. It was built in the supervision of Karan Chan the prime minister of Raja Rai Singhji, the sixth ruler of Bikaner, who ruled from 1571 to 1611 AD. Construction of the walls and associated moat commenced in 1588 and were completed in 1593.

Architecture:-

As we know this fort is situated on a hilltop and surrounded by the high wall. It has 37 bastion guard and if you are going to inside the fort then you see there is only two gates to go to inside. The name of the gates is Suraj Pol or the Sun Gate. The Junagarh Fort has defied all the attacks except for the brief stint by Kamaran, who captured the fort but was unable to retain his victory more than 24 hours.

About Fort:-

Junagrah fort was found by Raja Rai Singh in the year of 1593 AD. In this fort there are many beautiful spots for visitor some of them are: Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas and Rang Mahal etc. It also features a beautiful temple, Har Mandir. Royal family used to worship gods and goddesses in this temple.

Inside the fort: -

This fort was made by using red stone so it has beautiful red color seems the heaven on the earth. This place is covered by many windows, balconies, towers and Kiosks. If you are an Art lover then you notice many things in the fort which is a treat for your eyes like: mirrors, paintings and carved marble. The Phool Mahal or Flower Palace was adorned with glasses and mirrors.
